Volunteer: Line The Block

It's time to get the word out! For this challenge you will distribute yard signs to residents and business across the city. Where to go? It's up to you! You choose the locations and report back on the signs are located. 

To complete this challenge, here are your instructions:

1.Pick up 10 yard signs from Ambassador Staff (we can also bring them to you).

2. Using social distancing best practices, knock on neighbors and businesses doors and ask if you can place a yard sign on their property.

3. Remember to wear your blue District Ambassador t-shirt!

4. When submitting your hours, you will be asked to include addresses of the sites you placed the yard signs in order to earn all your hours!

5. Post your hard work on social media! (who knows, you may receive some yard sign requests!)

Hours Earned: 3 hours for each set of 10 yard signs that are distributed to residents and businesses

Do you have what it takes to make a 1 - 2 minute video answering the question: "Why do I love DPSCD?"

Show us what you got!

Here are the requirements:

1. Wear your District Ambassador shirt.

2. Ensure adequate sound and film quality.

3. Video should be minimum 1 minute, maximum 2 minutes.

4. Be creative and authentic - remember, this is Your Story!

Hours Earned: 1 hours per video submitted 

Bonus Hours Earned: 2 hours if you include a District staff member, current student parent, or alum in your video and highlight their connection to DPSCD and how it impacted (or continues to impact) their life.

Do you enjoy walking, bike riding, running, or strolling through your neighborhood? This is an easy opportunity to wear your District swag and promote DPSCD at the same time! Directions for this challenge include:

1. Participate in an outdoor physical activity in your neighborhood.

2.Take a selfie during or after your exercise and post to social media.

3.As part of your post, answer the question in 1 -2 sentences:

  "What about DPSCD makes you most proud?”

Hours Count: 1 hour

Bonus Hours Count: 2 hours if you have 3 or more people join you who are wearing District Blue Shirts!
