Who We Are

Are you passionate about Detroit Public Schools Community District? Are you a District Staff Member, current High School student, retiree, current or former parent, alumni, or a community supporter of DPSCD? Do you believe in connecting families with DPSCD schools?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are eligible to join the District's Ambassador Program! This cohort of dedicated and enthusiastic members are trained volunteers who serve as District representatives throughout the city to connect families with excellent District school options and resources.

There are great things happening in our schools, help us spread the word!

What We Do

Ambassadors participate in a 1.5 hour training and then have the freedom to select volunteer opportunities across Metro-Detroit that involve tabling and engaging with the community and prospective families. We provide all the materials for you table at your volunteer opportunity. These opportunities are conveniently organized for you by District Feeder Pattern. That way, if you are interested in promoting a specific school or feeder pattern, you can easily find those opportunities! For those of you interested in promoting more generally as a whole, we also have volunteer opportunities that categorized as "General Enrollment." These are usually the larger city events that attract attendees from throughout Metro- Detroit.
