This is an opportunity to participate in the public comment section of the District Board Meeting. Upon registering you will receive a template script to lean on as a tool (only if needed!). The goal here is for District advocates (like you!) to share positive stories about the work of the District. Board meetings are being held both both virtually and in-person. You can chose how you'd like to be involved. Either way, you will receive a total of 1 hour for sharing your testimonial!

As a supporter of the Detroit Public Schools Community District, I appreciate how the School Board and Superintendent have operated successfully in helping our students, parents, and family members during this international pandemic:
- Serving well over 2 million breakfast/lunch meals to students and families
- Distributing over 46,000 laptop computers plus wi-fi connections to students and their families
- 17,000 technological support issues resolved
- 3,200 hotline calls received and supported
- As choices, allowing our students to have access to in-person learning and on-line learning.
Or discuss the following:3.) The progress and status of the District versus say ten years ago when under state emergency management:
- The vision of the Board for our students, parents, and families
- The leadership of our hero, Superintendent, Dr. Nikolai Vitti within the crisis of an international pandemic and beyond.
4.) Positive thoughts on returning to in-person school learning for this Fall, and the opportunity to have a Virtual School.
